Award-winning Journalist and Conference MC
Award winning journalist Miriama Kamo returns to NZIEC as conference MC. “I learned so much from NZIEC 2016 that I’m coming back for more!” says Miriama. “I’m looking forward to seeing everyone again at this year’s conference.”
Miriama is the presenter of TVNZ1’s flagship current affairs programme, Sunday. Miriama worked as a reporter on Sunday between 2002 and 2005. During that time she won the prestigious Best Current Affairs Reporter gong at the Qantas Media Awards in 2005 for her investigation into alleged abuses at Porirua Hospital in the 1960s and 70s. She then spent six years fronting TVNZ2’s current affairs show 20/20, before returning to Sunday as the anchor. Miriama also co-presents current affairs programme Marae, is a regular 1NEWS newsreader and is the host on TVNZ1’s new lifestyle programme, Kiwi Living.
