As international education managers, we need to be prepared for almost any eventuality. This workshop explores both proactive critical incidence preparation and reactive crisis management stances of pastoral care that international education managers should embrace.

This workshop will provide you with a framework to help you prepare for when things go wrong, as well as how to best manage incidents if they arise. We will explore two real-life case studies; one which had a major effect on the life of an individual student and one where an event impacted on multiple students and staff.

We will also provide you with resources to help you prepare and train staff, and debrief and recover from handling critical incidents.
