In exciting news for NZIEC 2017, Education New Zealand and ISANA International Education Association New Zealand have announced a new partnership that will enhance the international student experience in New Zealand.
The partnership will see ISANA become an official partner to NZIEC 2017. ISANA NZ will design and deliver a full breakout stream focused on enhancing the student experience during the two-day conference.
Grant McPherson, Chief Executive of Education New Zealand, says the partnership is a natural fit:
ISANA has a track record of helping education providers better support international students through the adoption of strategies, models and evidence for teaching, learning and support. ISANA’s involvement in NZIEC 2017 will mean that hundreds of international education professionals attending the conference can access that capability.
ISANA is an association for international education professionals. Its members work in student welfare, marketing, admissions, research, teaching and service provision in New Zealand’s secondary and tertiary sectors from secondary schools, ITPs, PTEs to universities.
ISANA President Lesley McDonald says she is excited at the prospect of taking ISANA’s work to a wider audience:
This partnership fits well with ISANA’s commitment to celebrating and promoting excellence in student support services, and working with those organisations responsible for the international student experience. We are pleased to be partnering with Education New Zealand at NZIEC, and in doing so, engaging with the wider international education industry.
The 26th NZIEC will be held at the Sky City Convention Centre in Auckland on 22 and 23 August 2017. It will focus on the theme of Leadership in International Education and is expected to attract up to 700 delegates.
