You’ve heard that ‘a rising tide lifts all boats’ and this is what we need for New Zealand. Given the turbulent politics in the large destination markets of the UK and the USA, now is the time for us to act!

New Zealand education institutions are rarely competing against each other for students, instead we face strong competition from other destination countries including Australia, Canada, the United Kingdom and Singapore. Growing New Zealand international student enrolments will be a team effort with all of us working smarter to raise the profile of our ideal destination.

This session will look at:

  • What are competitor destinations doing in-market to raise their profile?
  • How is the mindset of student / parent decision making changing?
  • What are the advantages of locally-based representatives and why don’t more New Zealand education providers / regional groups have locally based representatives?
  • How can we work to make the most of limited resources?

This presentation will be an opportunity to hear from someone who has spent the last 20 years recruiting international students to study in New Zealand, Australia, the United Kingdom, USA, Canada, Holland and Ireland, who believes New Zealand is the best choice for an international student, and who is determined to ensure more students and agents know it!
